This week the Friendly North currently host the “Women’s leadership and Disability Inclusion in Humanitarian Action” Workshop, a workshop organised by the Shifting the Power Coalition. Shifting the Power Coalition is an alliance of 13 women-led Civil Society Organisations from diverse backgrounds in the Pacific region. Speaking from the workshop, Transcend Oceania’s Executive Director, Adi Vasulevu Merewalesi stated the importance of inclusiveness in decision making, “Women needs to be part of the change towards the new norm as our country emerges from COVID 19” she said. The 3 day workshop is currently held at the Grand Eastern hotel in Labasa and funded by Action Aid Australia.
