Ginger Tea Talanoa Bure – COVID19

During and in the current time of transitioning away from COVID 19 in Fiji, a strategy that Transcend Oceania is co-creating with community leaders is a safe talanoa space and in local context the Talanoa Bure where we talanoa dialogue and taking into account the how this is done in our local context. Important in this setting is being mindful of managing the current climate and make meaningful sense of environmental issues on the ground, above and underground whereever we reach in content of talanoa. In this short documentary, we invite you to listen to the content as best you can and not the quality of the video as this is spontenously recorded by young rural woman and students whom are not at school during this COVID 19 with the use of basic device #mobileph.
The leaders featured involves the Turaga ni Koro (village headman) of Raranibulubulu – Tui Ananaiasa and the President of the Naleba Multiracial Women’s group – Adi Makita Lena, speaks out about human security in the local context around the issues of COVID 19 Climate and Environment Change,yes we have the health issues to mind as well as other issues around us.
