OMBE (Oceania Men & Boys Engage) Project Scoping & Baseline

Transcend Oceania’s Scoping work has started for the OMBE (Oceania Men & Boys Engage) Project. The aim of this project is to actively engage men and boys in the prevention and reduction of violence against women, girls, children and other vulnerable members of societies. This is a 3 year project and one of its activities include Scoping and Baseline, which is aimed to explore the existing realities of violence against women and girls and other vulnerable members of communities in Melanesia. In building rapport and partnership, the Director Programs (Mr. Paulo Baleinakorodawa) & Project Officer (Justine Maravu) met with the following organisations; Methodist Women’s Fellowship, Soqosoqo Vakamarama, Men’s Empowerment, Anglican Church, Fiji Evangelical Christian Fellowship, Presbyterian Church, Hause of Khameleon, Fiji Disable Peoples’ Federation, Rainbow Pride and Pacific Conference of Churches. This morning (4th June) the Scoping continues as Director Programs and Project Officer meets with members of the  Alliance for Future Generations Fiji.
